TUNA
Tuna in musical terms is a group made up of university students. The Tuna of the University of Lion is the fruit of a lot of months of coexistence, shared by the four Tunas of the City: "Tuna Universitaria de León", "Tuna de Derecho de León", "Tuna de Veterinaria de León" and "Tuna de Ingenieros Agrónomos de León".
All they have crowd of prizes obtained in the competitions to which have gone along the last years and And the privilege to have visited our Peninsula, Europe, America and the Hoces of Vegarada.
They carry a green scholarship, the colour of our university, colour taken by the proper Institution in recognition to that the Empower of Veterinary was the first of León, to which represent with pride where want to that they go.
What kind of music do tunas play? It sounds similar to a capella groups, which are popular in the States. They sing popular music and have lots of concerts during the year.
ResponderEliminarBe careful with your sentence structure when writing; I can't really understand what your last sentence means. It might help to break long ideas into multiple sentences. Also remember that the infinitive doesn't always include "to," so for example you should say "can eat" rather than "can to eat". "Want to eat" and "have to eat" are proper, however.
I really enjoyed this section. I have never heard of Tuna groups before. What are the ribbons and emblems on the black cloth? Are those the awards? Their costumes are very traditional; do they play classical music or modern music?
ResponderEliminarA few things about the English: "All they have..." should be "All of them have..." Also, your last sentence is a little complicated. Do you mean "...to represent their pride wherever they go"?
What type of music do the Tunas play? Are there auditions to join--does one need to have prior experience singing/playing an instrument, or can a person learn while participating in the Tuna?
ResponderEliminarit´s difficult to explain what type of music tuna plays but I´m going to try it!
ResponderEliminartuna plays a type of music like old romances or medieval folk (more or less).
i hope you to understand me
The Tuna groups look very interesting. I would enjoy the opportunity to hear their music. Also, that sounds like a pretty wide variety of studies.
ResponderEliminarSome notes about your English.
- This isn't a big deal, but 'colour' is the British spelling of the word that is 'color' in American English. I guess if you're in Europe that would be expected :)
- Try to keep you're sentences shorter. It's easy to get lost (see, for example, the last one).
I would also be very interested in hearing the music played by the Tunas.
ResponderEliminarI'm not completely sure about what you meant to say in the sentence beginning "All they have crowd of prizes...," but in the middle of that sentence where it says "...the competitions to which have gone along the last years...," it would be better to say "...the competitions in which they have competed in past years..."
